One of
Southampton Science Park's longest residents is
Envirochem, an independent organisation offering a comprehensive development, analytical and consultancy service covering most environmental or health and safety concerns.
The company was founded by Managing Director, Raphael Mirzaians, who has over 18 years of experience in developing and applying techniques for environmental monitoring and health and safety.
The high quality services offered by Envirochem include the assessment of potential hazards, sampling of air, water and soil, and onsite and laboratory analysis.
Envirochem staff are extremely experienced in assessing the risk to health arising from work activities, and advising on cost effective ways of controlling the hazard. They have expert knowledge in the identification, monitoring and control of substances hazardous to health, and offer a wide range of both laboratory and on site analysis.
Envirochem's wide range of analytical expertise includes gas chromatography, mass spectrometry, infra-red analysis, scanning electron microscopy and microbiological methods.
The company has UKAS accreditation for the monitoring and surveying of asbestos fibres, and can arrange the complete management of asbestos removal works.
"Envirochem has been growing in size and reputation and expanding our range of activities consistently throughout the 12 years we have been at
Southampton Science Park," said Raphael Mirzaians. "We believe that being located on this prestigious site can only have helped our development."
Envirochem's clients include local councils, such as Portsmouth, Southampton and West Sussex, and large companies including Ford, Esso and Vosper
Thornycroft.
