Southampton Health Technology Assessments Centre (SHTAC) is marking its 10th anniversary with the launch of a new website.

The new website (http://www.southampton.ac.uk/shtac) aims to promote the extensive work carried out by the team at SHTAC and provides easy access to the wide range of research publications they have produced.  The site will also feature regularly updated news items, staff profiles, contact information and useful links as well as forthcoming training events.

Director and a founder member of SHTAC, Professor Andrew Clegg, has said 'we are very pleased with the new website and hope it will be a valuable source of information'.

SHTAC at the University of Southampton is one of the leading independent academic centres for health technology assessment and health services research within the UK. With expertise in evidence synthesis, health economics, statistical modelling and epidemiology, SHTAC is involved in research addressing major policy questions on the use of drugs, devices, procedures, screening programmes, health promotion and public health, and other interventions. Allied to this work is a programme of collaborative research on the methods underpinning research on health technology assessment.
