Fibre optic developer and manufacturer, Sensa, has recently moved to
Southampton Science Park, following their recent acquisition by Schlumberger.
Established in 1996 in England, Sensa is the world leader in the design, manufacture and supply of fibre optic sensors to the Oil and Gas, Power distribution and Industrial process industries.
Sensa supplies a new generation of fibre optic sensing technology and offers unique practical expertise in a wide range of areas, from the development of sensing technology through installation design in production, to post installation analysis and operator training.
Sensa's joining with Schlumberger will enable the company to develop new products and services, as well as expanding its existing portfolio from the newly formed 'fibre optic centre of excellence' in
Southampton Science Park. Says Glynn Williams, Head of Global Operations for
Sensa, "our new facilities at Southampton Science Park
have allowed us to locate the combined fibre optic expertise from Sensa and Schlumberger under one roof. Our new facilities will act as the focal point for the continued development and global expansion of our fibre optic sensing technology."
Sensa's employees are selected to give a unique combination of dedicated optoelectronic engineering, optical fibre installation, system configuration, telecommunications and data interpretation expertise, combining all the skills necessary to ensure the optimal performance of the company and its products.
With offices in Aberdeen, California, Venezuela and Australia, Sensa provides a global service to customers around the world.
