Deputy Vice Chancellor and Professor of
Economics at Southampton University, Alastair Ulph knows all about the
value of bringing research and business together. Prof Ulph has worked
at Southampton University for over 15 years and has been an active
supporter of fledgling businesses as they move from the University to
the Southampton Science Park. "Southampton Science Park plays an
important part in developing new businesses that have started at
Southampton University," said Prof Ulph.
"With the development of the
second business incubator, even more fledgling companies will have the
opportunity to reap the benefits of locating to Southampton Science
Park." Prof Ulph's interests include environment and trade,
environmental liabilities and finance and R & D. Prof Ulph has also had
involvement in consultancy projects for the DTI and the Department of
Environment.
