proven track record of supporting companies of all sizes and
helping them thrive at the Science Park. We offer a
comprehensive range of support services and we also
help companies to access many business development
opportunities through national schemes.
If you're an
early-stage company:
We are committed to nurturing young
companies. By offering flexible leases on small
units in our
Business Incubator we make it
easy for you to be based here without being tied in
to a long-term contract. We keep legal fees to a
minimum by using standard terms and conditions and
set deposits at a fair and affordable rate. Unlike
many business parks, we don't have automatic rent
reviews. Ongoing support is provided by
Southampton Enterprise Hub with its
Business
Club, Business Mentoring and networking events.
If you're growing
fast:
Many companies based at the Science Park grow
rapidly and need to expand into extra accommodation.
With this in mind we've developed a priority scheme
for existing tenants - so if you base your company
here and need more space, we'll give you priority
wherever possible.
If you'd like
access to the University:
The Science Park is owned by
The University of
Southampton and there are strong links between
the two. Many university spin-out companies are
based here and we actively encourage tenants to
forge links with the university's highly-skilled
researchers. If you'd like to form strategic links
with the university and access their specialist
equipment and facilities we can help. We're also
involved in
Knowledge Transfer Partnerships,
www.ktponline.org.uk a UK-wide
programme to help businesses improve their
competitiveness and productivity through the use of
the knowledge, technology and skills that reside
within academic institutions.
If you need extra
staff:
If you have a project to complete but no time or
resource to undertake it, Shell Step can help. The
UK -wide programme pairs up undergraduates with
companies for 8-week placements during the summer
