Management
and staff at Chilworth Manor are well on the way
to creating one of the South Coast's most
distinctive successful hotel and conference
venues.
The management buy-in team has been focussing equally on both sides of the business since taking over from the University of Southampton in April last year, and is now working hard towards establishing repositioning Chilworth Manor as both a superior quality and outstanding hotel for business and leisure as well as a top conference facility.
Record
levels of conference enquiries have been
received recently, the weddings business has
doubled in the past year, and the hotel's
Manor House Restaurant - with its impressive
wine list and weekly frequent menu changes - is
proving highly popular.
Gavin
Elliott, the hotel's director and general
manager and director said: "The restaurant was
fully booked over Christmas, and also on Mother's
Day, when 160 guests attended for lunch, and we
are confident that this pattern will continue."
"We
are very pleased with the success Chilworth
Manor has had since we took over. Both the hotel
and the conference strands of the business are
looking extremely promising, and we are pleased
to see an increase in the use of our facilities
by Science Park companies."
The
new management team has a wide range of
experience in running quality business hotels
with conference and function facilities - so it's
no surprise Chilworth Manor looks set to be yet
another success.
The 95 ensuite bedrooms in the Edwardian manor house and modern Garden Wing have all been recently refurbished with new drapes and carpets, and with its excellent service, and elegant lounge, hall and free tea and coffee, Chilworth Manor is the ideal hotel for both business and leisure customers alike.
Chilworth
Manor also offers a huge range of conference
rooms for meetings of all sizes, from under 10
people to 130 - while other guests, who simply
wish to spend a few days enjoying the hotel's
12 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, can
take advantage of the well stocked bar and
superb outdoor leisure facilities.
Mr
Elliott added: "As a further bonus, guests can
now pay their bills in euros, as all our
reception staff have been fully trained in
dealing with the new European currency."
