1. Great Location
Transport connections to Southampton
Science Park are excellent: We're just 1 mile from
the M3 junction 14, and close to the M27 on the northern edge of
Southampton, making it a very convenient location to
access the whole of southern England. In addition to
excellent motorway access, the development is close
to Southampton Parkway Station and Southampton
International Airport with direct flights to over 50
destinations throughout the UK and Europe.
2. Close Links with the
University of Southampton
The Science Park is owned by the
University of Southampton and the two
organisations enjoy close links, giving tenant
companies access to some of the UK's leading
scientific expertise.
3.
Comprehensive Business Support
Basing your
company at Southampton Science Park gives you access
to some of the best business support in the UK. With
services for all companies from start-ups
to multi-nationals, the Science Park is designed
with your success in mind.
4. Hi-tech Infrastructure
With a dual routed power supply, our own
Internet Protocol phone system, real broadband and a
data centre on site, technological requirements are
well looked after at the Science Park.
5. Facilities
A wide range of facilities is available
including a business incubator and
enterprise hub with support services for SMEs, real
broadband, generous parking, and Chilworth Manor, a
former Victorian mansion which is now a luxury hotel
and conference centre with a leisure club (from
August 2007) open to employees of companies on the
Park.
6. Property to suit all
sizes of company
We offer everything from custom-designed
headquarters to
office/lab space in multi-occupancy buildings. A new
9-acre site at Benham Campus has a great variety of
building plots to suit virtually any incoming
business. Because the site already has planning
permission for 102,000 ft2 of new offices, companies
can build their ideal premises with minimal delay.
Recently completed Kenneth Dibben House has a range
of suites from 540 sq.ft. to 5,000 sq.ft., which are
designed to encourage young, hi-tech companies. For
smaller companies we even offer a virtual tenancy
service.
7. Support for start-up businesses
Southampton Science Park has developed an
environment specifically designed to accommodate the
needs of start-up businesses. The Chilworth Business
Incubator offers small companies the opportunity to
benefit from flexible leasing arrangements
(including "easy-in/easy-out" facilities) and access
to shared facilities (for example meeting rooms and
photocopiers). The Science Park gives priority to
existing tenants wishing to expand their
accommodation footprint. We will work with you to
find appropriate space on the Park and allow you to
surrender your existing lease without a penalty.
8. Impressive Surroundings
Set in 50 acres of landscaped grounds,
the Science Park makes an impressive base. It is
part of the Chilworth estate, a quiet area of
parkland to the north-west of Southampton
characterised by mature trees and green space. Also adjacent is the Chilworth
Conservation Area, a 40 acre open-access area
incorporating ancient woodland, an ecology meadow,
an arboretum and lake.
