VNUS Medical Technologies UK Ltd, a

Closure procedure, which can treat varicose veins on an outpatient

Using ultrasound guidance, a tiny
catheter is inserted into the diseased vein through a tiny opening
in the skin. This catheter delivers radiofrequency (microwave)
energy into the vein wall. As the catheter is withdrawn, the vein

vein to close. Once the vein is closed, blood is re-routed to other
