Ferring's UK
research facility based at Southampton Science Park
celebrated its 21st birthday in June.
The facility was
founded in 1986 as a chemistry research institute
and employed 20 people. Since then the unit has
expanded both in numbers, currently standing at over
50 people and also in expertise through the addition
of biology and IT departments.
To mark the
traditional British coming of age a summer ball was
held at the Hampshire County Cricket Ground. The
staff were joined by invited guests who donned their
best evening wear for dinner with a jazz band
accompaniment followed by a disco and fairground
rides. Three members of staff were presented with 21
year service awards by Dr Robert Haigh, Managing
Director.
