A Finance Manager
from Science Park-based iMeta Technologies Ltd is
planning to cycle 390 km through India for charity.
Pam Morris, a single
mother of two from Chandlers Ford, will be raising
money for charities that help to improve the health
of women and babies - Women for Women. Pam will
spend 10 days in the Rajasthan region and needs to
raise around GBP2,800 in order to participate in the
event.
"I've been looking
for a life changing experience to prove something to
myself," says Pam, "but the beauty is at the same
time I will be able to help others less fortunate
than me."
With help from
family, friends and especially colleagues at iMeta,
Pam has managed to raise GBP2000. She has organised
several fundraising events, from an Indian lunch for
25 of her colleagues, to baking for the fantastic
appetites at work. A pub night, raffles and a quiz
night are all in the pipeline. Pam is hoping that
the people and businesses of Hampshire will help her
to raise the remainder.
She said: "What I
need now is as much support as possible. I still
need to raise GBP800 to take part in the event and
would like to be able to donate even more than that.
My overall target is GBP3500, which I aim to reach by
the time I travel out to India on 1st December
2007."
