Mike is a serial entrepreneur and technologist. In his current role as Co-founder and CEO at Fresh Relevance, he has built a new real-time engagement marketing platform, integrating websites with digital marketing and boosting revenue with highly personalised experiences across channels and devices. He has degrees in Electronics and in Management.

Mike founded his first software business when he was 16 and has been developing software and software businesses for over 20 years. During the 1990s Mike provided IT security consultancy to the UK financial sector and created some of the first PC mapping software. He has built two web-based start-ups at Southampton Science Park.

For Catalyst, Mike leads a workshop on how to validate your idea and how to increase your chances of success. He says: “Compared to the average 90% failure rate of average start-ups, the success rate from Catalyst is much higher. I’ve seen several startups from the Catalyst Centre become successful businesses. I advise on all aspects of boosting that success rate including team, finance and ideas for improving cashflow.”
