Nick Allot

CEO AND FOUNDER OF NQUIRINGMINDS AND CATALYST ADVISOR ON TECHNOLOGY STRATEGY, START-UP VENTURE CAPITAL AND R&D FUNDING

Nick’s illustrious career has seen him work for Dorling Kindersley, Shell and Motorola before becoming CTO of FastMobile where he helped raise $40m from VCs prior to a successful acquisition by RIM. As CTO of Wholesale Application Community (an industry joint venture between Orange, Deutsche Telecom, Vodafone and 15 other founders), he was part of the team raising $30m in seed funding before acquisition. He has performed technical and strategic due diligence for several corporate M&A programs and VC investments. Nick has worked as CTO for an international mobile standards Body (OMTP) and is Director of the Webinos Open Source Foundation ($15m funding)

Nick sits on the Advisory Boards of the British Standards Institute Smart Cities Program, of VisionMobile, a boutique strategy consultancy and sits on TechUKs CTO council . He has a PhD in Artificial Intelligence and a BSc Joint Hons in Cognitive and Computer Science and is a Fellow of the Institute of Analysts and Programmers
