A spinout from the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Saudi Arabia, nanotechnology company, Quantum Solutions, came to Southampton Science Park to facilitate expansion.

Joining the Catalyst programme in 2020, Founder Marat Lutfullin was motivated to see what mentoring would bring to his business. He commented: “Catalyst surpassed our expectations greatly, noting in particular the value added by programme mentors who challenged us to reassess our business priorities. We came away with tangible, actionable outputs, much better than expected."

Quantum Solutions is transforming optoelectronics with its proprietary quantum dots technology. Quantum dots are used by companies producing LCD, OLED and µLED displays and those developing technologies in facial recognition, autonomous driving, machine vision, virtual reality, augmented reality and night vision to enhance colour vibrancy, brightness, contrast and light sensitivity in the dark.
