Michael Aston, Chief Executive Officer

As Chief Executive Officer of the University of Southampton Science Park, Michael is responsible for the strategic leadership and continued development of the Park as a leading hub for science, technology and innovation. A chartered surveyor and chartered accountant, Michael has extensive experience in the strategic development of real estate, delivering major capital projects and supporting innovation-led organisations. Previously, he held senior roles at the University of Cambridge and Cushman & Wakefield, where he developed expertise in creating environments that bring together research, business and investment. Michael is passionate about strengthening collaboration between industry, academia and regional innovation networks to help ambitious businesses thrive and drive economic growth.
