In a most challenging time for recruiting and retaining talent, our Lunch & Learn events look to leadership over the next three months.

As a manager or supervisor, how do you flex your style to get the best out of every individual? Find out during an informal session over lunch this June, when we are delighted to welcome expert leadership coach, Alison Craig back to Southampton Science Park.

During this interactive, one-hour session, Alison will:

  • Discuss the differences between managing and leading
  • Give you the chance to reflect upon where you currently focus your time
  • Describe a range of Leadership Styles to help you get the best from everyone in your team
  • Encourage you to identify which styles you use well and which you could use more to get even better results

This workshop-style session is relevant to all line managers, regardless of whether you manage or supervise one, or many people.

Your Speaker

Alison Craig makes a welcome return to the Science Park following her insightful session on leadership in Autumn 2021. Alison has dedicated her career to helping leaders get the best out of themselves and from others. After 26 years at the John Lewis Partnership, where she achieved high levels of success operationally before specialising in people development, Alison founded her own coaching company to support small companies and large enterprises across multiple sectors with their leadership programmes.

She says: “There is no ‘one size fits all’ when it comes to leading people.  Really effective managers know how to use a range of styles to help them communicate effectively with, and get the best out of, the people around them.  I’m looking forward to having the opportunity to share my knowledge and experience of those styles and when to use them.”

Alison will be hosting further sessions on aspects of leadership on 13 July and 22 September.
