Getting ready for the off - payroll rules
The University of Southampton Science Park's monthly lunch and learn workshops are free to attend for Southampton Science Park resident businesses and lunch will be provided.
A short talk with examples on the impact of IR35 followed by any questions.
Are you paying your workers via personal service companies? You will need to operate new procedures from 6 April 2020 as HMRC bring in IR35. Businesses will be obliged to do something they have never previously had to do – consider whether IR35 applies to their engagements with personal service companies. Getting it wrong puts the business at risk of paying the unpaid tax and NICs. Companies should seek legal advice if they are unsure how to comply with the requirements IR35 and this is your chance to get a head-start on advice.
