Amplifying the future of sound

Audioscenic’s chief scientist and co-founder Dr Filippo Fazi was invited to demonstrate the Science Park company’s listener-adaptive 3D audio technology on BBC4 programme ‘How to Make… Headphones’.

Host Zoe Laughlin was clearly impressed with the technology, commenting: “The remarkable combination of directional sound paired with the tracking tech could transform portable sound as we know it”.

Audioscenic uses small arrays of speakers and advanced head tracking technologies to deliver truly immersive 3D sound without the need for headphones or complex arrays of speakers located around the room. This provides an authentic and natural audio experience for consumers of immersive gaming, virtual reality and movie audio.

“We were delighted to be able to contribute to ‘How to make…’ and demonstrate how our innovations have the capacity to transform the listening experience for everyone. The programme is a fantastic platform to engage people in what is possible,” added Dr Fazi.
