Applications are now invited for Catalyst 2021, the University of Southampton Science Park’s prestigious business accelerator, designed specifically for early-stage innovation-led science and technology companies.

Starting and scaling a company is a lonely, uncertain journey, but Catalyst’s experienced mentors know what’s over the horizon and understand when there’s a need to slow down and think things through, change direction or speed up to capitalise on market conditions.

Since it was established nine years ago, Catalyst has accelerated progress for 65 companies, boosting their chances of success. Participant companies have, between them, secured over £25m in funding and created 130 new jobs for our region.

Only 40% of start-ups in the UK survive the first three years but we know that over our nine years, an impressive 80% of Catalyst businesses continue to trade and go from strength to strength.
