- Employment rates in Hampshire remain consistently above the UK average, reflecting the strength and resilience of its labour market
- The region’s economic breadth, rising wages and strong international connections highlight Hampshire as a thriving, globally engaged hub for innovation, talent and long‑term growth.
- Total turnover in the region has increased by 3.8% to £42.4bn since last year. Average wage has also seen a 5% increase in this time.
Science Park Business Development Director, Lucinda Lamont, commented, “We are delighted that Southampton Science Park has been acknowledged in this annual review, which amply demonstrates how much Hampshire has to offer ambitious businesses looking to scale. There are very few locations in the UK that can match it for global connectivity, an impressive graduate talent pool and fantastic healthy work-life balance, all of which support Hampshire’s commercial success.
