A well-earned lunch break with colleagues, somewhere to plug-in and zone out on your own, or simply a friendly face to help you grab-and-go when you’re in a hurry: the Science Park’s new Fusion café is now open for all residents and visitors to enjoy, however you need fuelling.
Here, fresh, healthy high-quality refreshments and hot and cold lunches are made to order throughout the day. Catering for all dietary needs and preferences, set menus are infused with seasonal specials and special offers to keep your taste buds as well as your brain cells ticking over. Light, bright, crisp and fresh, Fusion’s lime greens, blues, whites and woods reflect the conservation area which surrounds the Science Park.
There are various ways to enjoy Fusion*. Table service is offered for those wishing to take time out to sit and eat, meet and collaborate. There are also casual spaces to relax with a coffee, and productive zones to plug in your laptop for some quiet thinking time.
Jane Olden, Southampton Science Park’s Catering Manager, was delighted to see all the hard work come to fruition. “Creating this new area for people to enjoy, recharge and work has been a project that I’ve wanted to deliver since joining the Science Park team. I’m thrilled with what we’ve achieved, and I hope our customers are too,” she said.
“We had a lot of support and feedback from the people whose work has required them to be here throughout the year when many others were working at home. There’s no doubt that a friendly face serving coffee and a sense of belonging to a community became even more important this year. My team and I certainly enjoyed the opportunity to get to know our resident community better and hopefully helping to put a smile back on their faces!”
