Funding Success for xim

Lifelight has secured a £1.2m Innovate UK continuity loan to scale its novel remote patient monitoring of vital signs technology.

The company’s CEO and Founder, Laurence Pearce, commented: “Providing remote patient monitoring and enabling clinicians to understand how their patients are doing remotely is crucial in a post-pandemic world. Lifelight is at the forefront of this shift and we are delighted to be recognised in this way by Innovate UK.”

He continued: “Innovate UK received nearly 400 applications (approximately triple the usual number) and was able to fund 18 projects, so this success is a fantastic achievement for us. It enables us to take a crucial and exciting step towards changing the scope of care and outcomes for population health in the UK and beyond.”

Lifelight combines remote patient monitoring and artificial intelligence to make healthcare easy and accessible for all. It enables any smartphone or tablet to measure a patient’s blood pressure, pulse and breathing rate, simply by them looking into the device's built-in camera for 40 seconds. As well as improving the overall patient experience, this non-contact process facilitates patient self-management while transforming traditional healthcare workflows by
cutting down on unnecessary in-surgery or home visits.
