Fuelling Sustainable Energy

Zenergi has attracted investment from ECI Partners, a leading mid-market private equity firm. The energy and sustainability service provider focuses on the education, healthcare and social housing sectors across the UK, supporting contract renewals, legislation and carbon reporting, and identifying ways to reduce energy consumption.

Founded in 2003, Zenergi has seen strong organic growth in line with increased awareness of environmental impacts. It has also grown through a programme of mergers and acquisitions, completing five acquisitions since 2018. The company chose Southampton Science Park for its head office in 2020.

“We are delighted to be working with ECI Partners to deliver future growth for Zenergi and further support schools and other institutions with their energy requirements as we all move towards a greener future,” commented Zenergi’s CEO, Graham Cooke.

Richard Chapman, Partner at ECI, added: “Zenergi does a fantastic job supporting institutions with increasingly complex energy needs, and we look forward to working with Graham and the management team to deliver both organic growth and further mergers and acquisitions in this space. In the current energy market climate and wider environmental considerations, we expect customers to increasingly look to market experts such as Zenergi to help them find solutions. We’re delighted to partner with the team for the next stage of their journey.”
