New Board Directors

Southampton Science Park is delighted to welcome three new Board members, Kevin Argent, Dr Kam Pooni, and Brian Thorpe Tracey.

Kevin Argent is Executive Director - Estates and Facilities within Professional Services at the University of Southampton, joining recently from University College London, where he delivered a number of major campus projects including a UCL East campus on the Olympic Park and a new Institute of Neurology/Dementia Research Institute. Previous roles include Deputy Director, Real Estate Development with the Metropolitan Police Service.

Dr Kam Pooni has a distinguished career spanning over two decades in the life sciences industry, with a track record of driving strategic growth and supporting emerging founders and technologies. Chair of the Board, Professor Mark Spearing, said, “On behalf of the Board, I warmly welcome Kevin, Kam and Brian, who each bring a unique perspective, and a wide range of experience, insight and ideas.”

Dr Robin Chave, Science Park CEO, added, “Taking up their posts in a year which sees the Science Park mark its milestone 40th anniversary, I am confident that their input will be invaluable in helping me to shape the future direction of the Science Park at a pivotal and exciting time.”
