A Festival of Innovation

Lucinda Lamont and Joanne Middleditch represented Southampton Science Park at this month’s Venturefest South: Festival of Innovation. Always a hot ticket, Venturefest is the biggest celebration of the South’s innovation economy and an inspiration to all who attend.

Lucinda commented, “Events like these really demonstrate the power of connecting new and established tech companies in generating energy and creativity. There was a great buzz in the room this year, some exciting new technologies and many driven innovators; the south coast is clearly an exciting hub for groundbreaking ideas. As always, Southampton Science Park is at the heart of this and several Science Park companies were in attendance.

“There was a great deal of interest in Catalyst, our support programme for start-ups and early stage businesses, and we were delighted to see current Catalyst company, mytender.io, named winner of the VFS24 Early Stage Innovator Award. This marks the third consecutive year that a Catalyst participant has scooped a Venturefest award, testimony to the calibre of this prestigious business accelerator and a demonstration of the diverse businesses that the programme attracts. BirthGlide won in 2023 and Labl.it in 2022.”
