South Coast Tech Award Winners Revealed
Leading lights from Hampshire and Dorset's tech sector gathered at the Hilton Utilita Bowl on 16th October for the 2025 South Coast Tech and Innovation Awards, hosted by The Business Magazine in partnership with Insider Media.
Science writer, broadcaster and presenter Timandra Harkness compered the evening, during which 13 awards were presented, reflecting the diversity and success of the vibrant Central South tech sector.
Southampton Science Park was proud to support two categories once more.
CEO Robin Chave presented the Tech for Good (Sustainability) Award to Absolar Solutions. The independent judging panel remarked on how the company had developed an innovative technology that helps design efficient and effective solar installations, and how the company’s ethos is one of practicing what it preaches, with a strong desire to have real-world social impact.
Business Development Director Lucinda Lamont presented the Tech Start-Up of the Year Award to My Local Surgery. My Local Surgery has demonstrated exceptional innovation and foresight, said the judges. The company identified a clear gap in the market and has developed a solution that genuinely benefits customers.
In other categories, Science Park companies were well represented, including Tekever, which was named High Growth Tech Company of the Year. Judges highlighted Tekever’s exceptional growth through securing key contracts, expanding its workforce and footprint while keeping agility and innovation at the core of its culture.
Former Catalyst programme businesses Kiki Wren Games, Mytender.io, and TrouDigital were also recognised and shortlisted in one or more categories.
Lucinda Lamont said, “Thank you to The Business Magazine for a wonderful night, in which we were collectively able to celebrate the fantastic innovation that abounds across our region. It was fantastic to see so many of our resident and Catalyst companies represented among the finalists.”
