Commercial Property Showcase

Southampton Science Park CEO Robin Chave was pleased to speak at the South Coast Commercial Property Show Conference on 13 November.

Robin participated in a panel discussion, ‘South Coast 2035 – Industrial Growth, Innovation & Opportunity’. This explored how the region can play a leading role in the UK’s modern industrial strategy by attracting advanced industries, decarbonising logistics and manufacturing, supporting digital innovation, and securing long-term investment in land, infrastructure, and skills. It aligned with the government’s Invest 2035 strategy, directly intersecting with the commercial property sector via occupier demand, site delivery, infrastructure, and investor activity.

Other discussions at the event covered issues such as Southampton’s port expansion, the city’s retail, hospitality, and leisure sectors, and the upcoming Hampshire & Solent combined authority.

“Robin and I were very impressed with this event and the Science Park was delighted to be involved both as an expert panellist and an exhibitor,” said Business Development Director, Lucinda Lamont. “The quality of this conference was evident in the speakers and audience it attracted. South Coast CPS has become the commercial property event for the region; a must, given how buoyant the market here is.”

“We were particularly pleased to be able to showcase some of the exciting commercial property on offer at Southampton Science Park, including a rarely-available entire HQ building in our Benham campus and Infinity Labs, a new R&D facility currently under construction: just two examples of the range of high quality business accommodation that we provide to businesses from start-ups to global leaders.”
