The Best BBQ Ever!

Southampton Science Park residents ventured out of their offices, labs and workshops in their droves this month for our annual SOSocial BBQ. More than 350 people came to enjoy some downtime with their colleagues and peers this year, making it our biggest and best BBQ ever!

Eager queues had formed before the event had even kicked off and it was fantastic to see so many of our community come together for an afternoon of great food, networking and fun. Such was the demand that a hasty ice-cream restock was needed half way through!

Lucinda Lamont (wielding her trusty megaphone!) compered the hotly anticipated raffle, this year in aid of Science Park’s charity of the year, Solent Mind. Thanks to the outstanding generosity of our community of companies who donated prizes, we raised over £1000 for the charity’s mental health and wellbeing work.

Lucinda said, “On behalf of the whole Science Park team, I thank everyone who supported our 2026 BBQ. Seeing our community connect, catch up and enjoy the afternoon together is exactly what these events are all about.
