SOsocial, Come Rain or Shine

Nearly 300 people attended the Science Park’s SOsocial summer BBQ on 2^nd July, the potential for a downpour refusing to deter residents from turning out in force. Just in time, the clouds parted and all were rewarded with a beautifully warm and sun-filled event in the picturesque sunken garden.

The Spectrum IT Recruitment team were fantastic in sponsoring and manning the drinks station, while ice creams sponsored by Shakespeare Martineau complemented the Stefano Centola’s BBQ perfectly.

Thanks to the outstanding generosity of our community of companies who donated prizes, and everyone who bought tickets, a hugely successful raffle was held during the event to raise funds for the Science Park’s charity of the year, the Hampshire & Isle of White Air Ambulance, a welcome boost to its Operation Airbase Appeal. The Science Park was delighted to donate £3,500 to the charity, which is the average cost of saving a life.
