Innovators Abound!
Venturefest South 2025, the region’s well established annual festival of innovation, buzzed with entrepreneurial energy this November.
Out in force and on the hunt for impressive early-stage businesses with growth potential, Southampton Science Park’s Catalyst team, led by Lucinda Lamont, were delighted to be involved.
Lucinda said, “We’re proud to support Venturefest, as it aligns perfectly with everything we’re passionate about: driving innovation, building connections, and supporting growth across the South. It’s been fantastic to see so many familiar faces and meet lots of new ones too. There’s a real buzz across all the zones — a brilliant showcase of innovation, collaboration, and entrepreneurial energy!”
Residents and other companies associated with Southampton Science Park are often stand-outs in the Innovator Showcase, in particular companies that have joined the Science Park’s Catalyst business accelerator. Labl.it, BirthGlide and mytender.io scooped the last three years’ #VFS25 awards. This year, that honour went to Esme Brinsden, co-founder of excellent University spin-out, the Phage Collection Project.
