Southampton Science Park is pleased to welcome the Comp AI team to Gamma House in the Greek Letter central campus of the Science Park ecosystem.

Comp AI is an open-source platform which enables organisations to become security-compliant with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) frameworks - such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA and GDPR – quickly and easily. This reflects the growing importance of security certifications as businesses increasingly handle sensitive customer data and face stricter regulatory requirements. Comp AI is proven to deliver audit-ready comprehensive compliance for companies of all sizes from early-stage start-ups to established enterprises.

CEO Lewis Carhart founded the company in 2025. His growing team have a stated goal to help 100,000 companies achieve compliance with cyber security frameworks by 2032. They are already working with over 4,000 companies and attracting significant investment in the process.

In a recent interview with TechRound, he said, “We believe that strong security practices shouldn’t be a luxury that only well-funded companies can afford. By providing an open source solution, we’re removing barriers to entry and empowering organisations to build robust security programs regardless of their size or resources.”

On moving to the Science Park, he commented, “Southampton Science Park was the obvious choice for us. We are growing fast and wanted an environment that provides the facilities and support our team needs to be able to focus on delivering for our customers. It’s clear that the Park’s leadership understands the needs of scaling businesses and offers the flexibility to support growth. That was particularly appealing to us.”
